Terms & Conditions
Terms and Conditions for VOICES IN THE RAIN (VOIR) Choir
Welcome to VOIR’s choir programme!
We are delighted to have your child join us in making beautiful music together. VOIR is more than a choir — we hope to nurture a warm, respectful, and supportive community where children can grow in confidence, friendship, discipline, and joy through singing.
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before registering your child.
1. Age Requirement
VOIR Children’s Choir is open to children aged 5 years old and above.
Children who do not meet the age requirement may not be able to participate in the programme, unless otherwise discussed and approved by the choir team.
2. Attendance
Regular attendance is important for your child’s learning, confidence, and contribution to the choir.
Children are encouraged to attend rehearsals punctually and consistently, especially when the choir is preparing for performances.
If your child is unable to attend a rehearsal or performance, please inform us as early as possible.
Paid but unused session credits will be rolled over and may be used to offset future sessions, according to the payment package terms stated below.
3. Conduct
We hope to create a safe, respectful, and encouraging environment for every child.
All children are expected to behave respectfully towards the conductor, teachers, volunteers, fellow choristers, parents, and the rehearsal venue.
Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behaviour may result in a child being asked to sit out of a rehearsal or, in serious or repeated cases, may lead to dismissal from the programme.
4. Fees & Payment
🎶 VOIR Prepayment Packages 2026

5. Performances
VOIR may perform at various events throughout the year.
Your child’s participation in performances is greatly encouraged, as performances help children build confidence, teamwork, and stage experience.
However, the choir conductor reserves the right to decide whether a child is ready to participate in a particular performance. This decision may be based on factors such as attendance, readiness, confidence, behaviour, and familiarity with the performance pieces.
Parents will be informed of performance details as early as possible.
6. Communication
VOIR will communicate with parents and guardians mainly through the WhatsApp parent group chat.
Please ensure that we have your most updated contact information so that you can receive rehearsal updates, performance information, payment reminders, and other important announcements.
7. Safety & Liability
VOIR will take reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children during rehearsals, performances, and choir-related activities.
However, accidents may still happen. By registering your child for the programme, you acknowledge that participation is at your own discretion and agree that VOIR, its conductor, teachers, volunteers, and organisers shall not be held liable for injuries, accidents, loss, or damages that may occur during rehearsals, performances, or related activities, except where caused by proven negligence.
8. Termination of Participation
VOIR reserves the right to suspend or terminate a child’s participation in the choir programme where necessary.
This may include, but is not limited to:
-
Repeated disruptive or disrespectful behaviour
-
Unsafe behaviour towards self or others
-
Poor attendance without communication
-
Failure to make payment
-
Behaviour that affects the wellbeing or learning environment of other children
Where possible, VOIR will communicate with parents before making such a decision.
9. Photos, Videos & Recordings
Photographs, videos, audio recordings, or other media footage may be taken during rehearsals, performances, showcases, or choir-related activities.
These materials may be used for VOIR’s publicity, documentation, social media, website, and marketing purposes.
VOIR will use such materials respectfully and only for purposes related to the choir.
10. Community Support & Sponsored Slots
VOIR hopes to remain a community choir that is open and welcoming to children from different backgrounds.
Some of our young choristers may be on partial or full sponsorship, especially children who love singing but may not otherwise have the financial means to join a choir.
If you know of a child who loves to sing but may be facing financial difficulties, please feel free to contact us privately. We will do our best to seek sponsorship support so that more children can have the opportunity to sing, belong, and grow with us.
11. Agreement
By registering your child for VOIR Children’s Choir, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these terms and conditions.
Thank you for your understanding, support, and cooperation.
We are grateful to have you as part of this journey, and we look forward to making beautiful music together as we continue growing VOIR as a community of hope, joy, and belonging. 🎶
